SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage organisation of key client projects.

Job Duties

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Requirements

  • Great educational background, in the fields of computer science, software or engineering
  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology or software development sector
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus

Remuneration: Upto £60,000 depending on the candidate, skills and experience.

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Brief

Due to continued growth Spearhead are seeking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to join the existing team. The job will be challenging and dynamic with opportunities to work with a huge range of technologies and third party hardware.

Full time job based in Middlesbrough, UK

Software Engineer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages, like C#, Java, Ruby on Rails or .NET programming languages (e.g. C++ or JScript.NET)

Responsibilities

  • Execute full software development life cycle
  • Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
  • Write well-designed, testable code
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Document and maintain software functionality
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
  • Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Ensure software is updated with latest features
  • Ability to manage and lead software development teams

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer
  • Experience designing interactive applications
  • Ability to develop software in Java, Ruby on Rails, C++ or other programming languages
  • Strong development capabilities with C#
  • Knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
  • Understanding and experience in 3D graphics programming
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Proficiency in software engineering tools
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications
  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

Desirable Capabilities

  • A background or interest in an electrical or mechanical engineering industry
  • Experience with games industry development tools
  • Experience with industrial PLC systems
  • Experience of programming with mobile operating systems such as iOS and Android

Remuneration: Upto £45,000 depending on the candidate, skills and experience.
