TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

JOB DUTIES

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project
  • Ensure that the project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop a project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties / vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Great educational background, in the fields of computer science, software or engineering
  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology or software development sector
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A background or interest in an electrical or mechanical engineering industry is a plus
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus

Remuneration: Upto £60,000 depending on the candidate, skills and experience.

 

RADAR DATA SOFTWARE PROCESSING ENGINEER

JOB BRIEF

Radar data processing software development.

Develop software on Windows and Linux that interfaces with existing radar sensor units and integrates existing processing algorithms to create a radar image visualisation system.

This includes the control of spatially dispersed radar sensors, retrieval of large volumes of compressed and encrypted data from those sensors via TCP/IP, formatting the data for input into the processing algorithms, display of the 3D datasets output by the processing algorithms and creation of a user interface.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in application development in Windows and Linux (C, C++ or other)
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux network programming (TCP/IP) and security, some knowledge of data compression, error and encryption would be useful
  • Knowledge of graphics APIs such as OpenGL
  • Ability to create user interfaces
  • Execute full software development life cycle
  • Write well-designed, testable code
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Document and maintain software functionality

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Oversee communications and large volume data transfer tests between the sensors and server
  • Oversee imaging tests using actual radar data

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of image processing and data visualisation
  • Data management experience

Remuneration: £35,000-45,000 depending on the candidate, skills and experience

 

EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER

JOB DUTIES

  • Development of on-board software which facilitates control and communications between an embedded system and a server.
  • Creation of a TCP/IP stack to run on an embedded system to allow large volume data transfer between system and server infrastructure.
  • Implementation of data compression, error correction and encryption techniques.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven work experience as a software engineer or developer
  • Experience in embedded system programming
  • Ability to program in assembly language
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, data compression, encryption and security
  • Execute full software development life cycle
  • Write well-designed, testable code
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Document and maintain software functionality

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Selection and implementation of suitable data compression and encryption algorithms
  • Oversee communications and large volume data transfer tests between the embedded system and server

Remuneration: £35,000-45,000 depending on the candidate, skills and experience.
